Then all that’s left to do is go and start this safari trip of a lifetime together.  It’s time to explore Aberdare National Park, an unusual highlands park with dense forests, waterfalls, high-altitude moorlands and some interesting wildlife. Elephants, waterbucks, bushbucks, buffaloes and hyenas are all commonly seen, but watch out too for the extremely elusive bongo antelopes, black rhinos and black leopards. Day 2: Aberdare National Park Pass more time in Aberdare National Park getting to know its many charms.  Walking safari, Aberdare National Park  You’ll never get tired of going on a walking safari, where you’ll leave behind the vehicle and step out into the wild. It can be a little nerve-wracking at first, but you’ll be walking with an experienced guide and it’s very safe. It can be a real thrill walking in this way, and most people fall in love with the experience.  Day 3: Lake Nakuru National Park You’ll be visiting Lake Nakuru National Park, and it’s a brilliant park to visit. There are so many highlights to look forward to. When it comes to wildlife, there are tree-climbing lions, endangered Rothschild’s giraffes, and flamingos in varying numbers on the lake. This is also one of the best parks in Kenya for seeing both black and white rhinos. It’s a beautiful park as well, with amazing views from the Out of Africa Lookout (some scenes from the 1985 film of the same name were filmed here), as well as waterfalls, acacia woodlands and pretty lake panoramas. Day 4: Lake Naivasha Of all Kenya’s Rift Valley lakes, high-altitude Lake  Naivasha offers the richest variety of experiences. There’s lots to do here, and you might even see zebras, giraffes or hippos. Its human story is also fascinating: Lake Naivasha was popular with colonial types as an escape from the city, and it plays a similar role for locals now, especially on weekends. Day 5: Masai Mara National Reserve We think you’ll love the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of the best places to watch wildlife anywhere in Kenya. You’re almost guaranteed to see plenty of predators, including lions, leopards, cheetahs and spotted hyenas. Day 6: Masai Mara National Reserve Welcome to one of the best safari destinations in  Kenya. Here in the Masai Mara National Reserve, you’re almost certain to see lions, hyenas, hippos, elephants, giraffes, wildebeests, buffaloes, impalas and zebras, not to mention the more-than-500 species of birds that have been recorded here. There’s also a good chance you’ll encounter leopards and cheetahs, while you might also see black rhinos in the Mara Triangle. Another memorable thing about visiting the Masai Mara is the landscape of vast savannah grasslands with plenty of flat-topped acacia trees.  Day 7: Masai Mara National Reserve Going on safari once in the Masai Mara is a privilege, but you get to return to this special place and enjoy it all over again. Day 8: Your last day with us It’s a pity that it has to end, but this is where your safari will draw to a close. Day 1: Masai Mara National Reserve You’re in for a really special safari experience on  your visit to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This is one of the best places in Kenya to look for big cats. You may see so many elephant, giraffe, Thomson’s gazelle, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest and hippo that you stop noticing them after a while! And these are just the start: watch for the reserve’s population of black rhino, which are present in the Mara Triangle although they can be pretty hard to spot. Beautiful savannah grasslands, acacia trees, distant escarpments and more than 500 possible bird species are other highlights you can look forward to.
